I wondered how long it would be before someone came up with this scam idea. Don't be fooled if you get an email which appears to be from PayPal, and claims you made a purchase. Remember, login directly to the website - don't click the link in an email. If it really is from PayPal, you'll find out when you go to the PayPal site.
Of course, in this case, we're helped by the fact that the subject line has a stupid grammatical mistake, and also by the fact that the scammer was not clever enough to create an email that looks like a PayPal email.

thank you Doug for the heads up. I got the exact same spoof and was careful NOT to click the link within that email...I just wish everyone knew not to click on these phishing links.

This was a new phish with a paypal reference to me. Strange that the $28 reference in the email I received was near the same amount I bid on an item days earlier on ebay.
