Online Math Madness
Online Math Madness is coming soon to an internet connection near you. Unlike many math competitions, you don't have to travel across the state or country to compete with other students; you can compete against students across the world without ever leaving your own home!

'Online Math Madness' is designed for high school students, although anyone who wishes can enter. All you need is a computer, a web browser, and an internet connection! We supply the problems and puzzles, you supply the brain power to solve them!

The competition will be an hour and a half, including brief breaks between rounds, during which you will be able to check your standing against other competitors, or just get a cup of coffee to keep you going! The problems will be challenging, but all will be within the scope of a standard high school mathematics curriculum.

Exciting Announcement: Online Math Madness is being put on hold temporarily, during the launching of a brand new online competition: Quote Puzzler!

Warning!
This is not a traditional math competition. We intend to have a lot of fun with this, and the competitors will not know what's coming next! Maybe we'll have speed rounds where you get bonus points for fast answers. Maybe we'll have rounds where you have to wager points like in Final Jeopardy. Maybe we'll...oh, never mind...I don't want to give away too much!

This will be the most fun math competition you've ever done!

How Do I Prepare?
This competition is being hosted by Virtu Software and designed by Douglas Twitchell. If you want to get a taste for the kinds of problems Doug writes, you should become a weekly visitor at Virtu Software's Problem Of the Week site. No guarrantee that the 'Math Madness' problems will be like the POW problems, but at least you'll have a chance to try to understand the demented mind of Doug Twitchell!
