PentoMania Puzzles
Pentominoes are shapes created by combining five square tiles into every
possible configuration. There are a total of twelve pentomino shapes,
as shown in the diagram on this page. These shapes can be combined to create
shapes (similar to tangrams). Once the puzzle creator has designed a puzzle,
the puzzle solver must use the same pentominoes to fill the puzzle
space.Pentominoes may be flipped, and/or rotated in order to fill the shape. Many pentomino puzzles have multiple solutions. When you solve a pentomino puzzle, the software will check to see if that solution (or any of its transformations) has been found.
For children who find pentomino puzzles too difficult, TileMania also comes with two simpler versions of the puzzle game: TriMania and TetraMania.
