Registration Expiration Scam

The following is (with some parts removed) an email I received this morning. This follows a standard format of a message that used to arrive regularly by mail:

Registration Expiration
Order #: 22107670
Order Date: Apr 13, 2012
Bill To: Twitchell, Douglas
*** Address ***

Domain Name
Apr 13, 2012 - Apr 13, 2013
Price $75.00
Term 1 Year

To: Twitchell, Douglas

Your order #22107670 has been received and is currently processing. Registration includes SE submission for ANTI-SPAM-LOG.COM for 12 months. There is no obligation to pay for this order unless you complete your payment by Apr 28, 2012. SE Services provides submission services and search engine ranking organization for domain owners.

Failure to complete your search engine registration by Apr 28, 2012 may result in the cancellation of this order (making it difficult for your customers to locate you using search engines on the web).

For Domain Name:

You have received this message because you elected to receive special notifications and offers for ANTI-SPAM-LOG.COM. If you no longer wish to receive our special notices, please unsubscribe here, or mail us a written request to the attention of: **** Address ****. Please allow up to four weeks for the complete unsubscribe process to take place. Please do not reply to this email, as we are not able to respond to messages sent to this address

This is a fairly common practice among dishonest SEO firms. They send you a message which appears to be a domain renewal message. IT'S NOT!!!

You didn't register your domain with these people. You didn't host your site with them. You didn't do ANYTHING with them. They are, however, claiming the following:

1. You've submitted an order to them.
2. You've requested "special notifications" from them about your domain.

Neither of these are true. Do NOT send them your money!
